Welcome to Eurovision Radio International
Eurovision Radio International is a fast moving, entertaining three hour radio programme offering up-to-date information and entertainment about the Eurovision Song Contest all year round. The show contains interviews with past and present Eurovision performers, News about the Eurovision Song Contest, the Eurovision Quiz, Expert opinions and of course the Listeners' Choices as well. 
 
ImageThis weekly radio show is geared for Expatriates, English speaking internationals and especially to the fans of the Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast from the studios of RTV Katwijk in the Netherlands on 106.8FM & Digital Cable Channel Number 781 and via the Internet. (Click to listen). You can also find Radio International (RTV Katwijk) on TuneIn. Simply click on the icon and you should be able to hear the station's stream on the times of live broadcast on Wednesday from 2000 - 2300 hours CET. In addition to the means of FM radio and webradio, Radio International will also be simulcast on the show's own web TV channel (where you can see how we actually do Radio International). You can reach the channel by clicking here while listening to the weekly edition of Radio International or some previous interviews Radio International has done with Eurovision performers. Radio International would like to encourage you to actively take part in the chat during the show, making more Eurovision Friends and send in your requests and greetings.

Week 04/2015 - On Eurovision Radio International
Image(28 January 2015) The Team of Radio International invites you to the weekly Ultimative Eurovision Experience. Apart from the means of FM Radio in the Netherlands on FM 106.8 and the audio stream from the studio via www.radiointernational.tv, TUNEIN and on Digital Cable 781 & cable 88.1Mhz in the Netherlands, the show will also be web-televised via the Radio International TV Channel from the studio and linking up the many international Eurovision fans and friends and play your requests and read your messages out on air. Tell your friends to join in - SPREAD THE NEWS. Normally, the simulcast is from 2000 – 2300 hours CET when Eurovision fans can join in and chat amongst each other via the Chat Room and request their favourite Eurovision entry.You can also use Twitter to be in touch with the studio during the live broadcast on Wednesday. ImageInterview with Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013): OGAE Germany held their annual convention on Saturday, 24 January 2015 in Munich, Germany with the participation of national and international Eurovision performers such as Michael Holm, Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013), Ray Caruana of Live Report (United Kingdom 1989), Hersi Matmuja (Albania 2014) and the amazing Kessler Twins (Germany 1959). Parts of the Team of Radio International were at the event and interviewed some of the artists. Listen to the interview with Krista Siegfrids who together with her Ding Dong Girls represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmoe, Sweden reaching Number 24 in the Grand Final with the song "Mary Me". Krista and the girls performed amongst "Mary me" also new highly energetic Pop Music from her first album. Enjoy this interview on this week;s edition of Radio International.

ImageInterview with The Kessler Twins (Germany 1959).  At the OGAE Germany convention 2015 many surprise guests appeared to the astonishment of the many German and international Eurovision Fans. Probably, the most amazing surprise of the night was the appearance of the Kessler Twins who represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 1959 with the song "Heute abend wollen wir Tanzen geh'n" which reached Number 8. The Wining Song in 1959 was the late Teddy Scholten with "Een Beetje" for the Netherlands.  Alice and Ellen Kessler not only sang and danced at the Eurovision Song Contest but also at the Lido in Paris, at TV Shows in Italy and also their carrer take them to the USA working with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Frank Sinagtra. Radio International acknowledges the great honour for being able to interview the Kessler Twins which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International.
 
ImageInterview with Hersi Matmuja (Albanis 2014):  A lady with a great voice and charme on stage also was at the OGAE Germany convention on 24 January 2015. Hersi Matmuja represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "One night's anger" which unfortunately did not manage to get in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contet. Albania charted at Number 15 in Semi Final 1 when only the Top 10 advance to the Grand Final. But HErsi with her voice and charme convinced the German fans who invited her for the annual OGAE Germany convention where Radio International had a chance to interview the young amazing singer. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of Radio Internationa. 
 
ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The National Final Season 2015: Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The National Final Season 2015:  The National Final Season to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is well under way.  During the last weeks Radio International went through the history of Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest. Austria will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna next May with the Grand Final on the 23 May 2015. Like in previous years the Radio International Eurovision Experts will be assessing the National Finals 2015 live on Radio International. Chris Poppe starts off with the new season taking a look at the National Finals and entries FYR Macedonia, Malta, Belarus and The Netherlands.
 
ImageThe Eurovision Top 40 Semi Final entries that failed to make it into the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest but according to our listeners should have made it:  Over the past couple of years Eurovision Radio International has on a monthly basis featured a selection of listeners's choices in the third hour of what they thought should have made it to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Marcus and JP then played the choices in form of a Top 20 Chart in the show.  Now at the end of 2014 Radio International entered all the listeners' choices into the computer and has now worked out a Top 40.  For the next two weeks JP will be featuring the Top 40 Semi Final entries in the third hour of the show. This week listen to positions 20 to 11. What will be Number One? 

Image Eurovision UnderCover:  Radio International each week inserts into the show Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision-Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Enjoy the brand new series.  Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc.  Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International.

ImageEurovision Quiz:  Scratch your heads and bite your nails at  our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you have to do is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send your answers via the website's CONTACTs form. As for the quiz answers, you have time until 2359 hours the Tuesday after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate in the quiz and the draw for the prize. ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists:  Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the music closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show. Over the past couple of weeks Radio International has received so many new released of Eurovision performers which will will air during the upcoming editions of Radio International. 
 
 
There will be the usual bits and pieces such the Eurovision Quiz, your EurovisionMusic Requests and messages, Eurovision Calendar Items and the Eurovision News as they happen. Your views and requests are welcome and quiz answers can be sent via the website's CONTACT link.
