This weekly radio show is geared for Expatriates, English speaking internationals and especially to the fans of the Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast from Katwijk in the Netherlands on 106.8FM & Digital Cable Channel Number 41 or via the Internet. (Click to listen).
It is a fast moving, entertaining three hour radio programme offering
up-to-date information and entertainment about the Eurovision Song Contest all year round. The show contains interviews with past and present Eurovision performers, News about the Eurovision Song Contest, the Eurovision Quiz, Expert opinions and of course the Listeners' Choices as well.
Live on Wednesdays 2000 – 2300 hours (CET)
In addition to the means of FM radio and webradio, Radio International will also be simulcast on the show's own web TV channel (where you can see how we actually do Radio International). You can reach the channel by clicking here while listening to the weekly edition of Radio International or some previous interviews Radio International has done with Eurovision performers. (08 February 2012) The Team of Radio International would like
to invited you to
the weekly Ultimative Eurovision Experience in
a period of the National Finals to the 2012 Eurovision
Song Contest. Apart from the means of FM Radio in the Netherlands on FM
106.8 and the
audio stream from the studio via www.radiointernational.tk and on
Digital Cable 41 in the Netherlands, the show will
also be web-televised via the Radio International TV Channel from the studio and linking up the European
Eurovision fans and friends and play your requests and read your
messages out on air. Tell your friends to join in - SPREAD THE NEWS. The simulcast
will exceptionally be from 2000 – 2400 hours CET when Eurovision fans
can join in and chat amongst each other via the Chat Room and request their favourite Eurovision entry.
A great line up this week with a special co-host and guests on the show:
Co-hosting and Interview with Sietse Bakker from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU): Radio International is extremely honoured to have Sietse Bakker with us live in the studio. Sietse Bakker is the Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and also Event Coordinator of the Eurovision Song Contest working closely together with the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest - Jan Ola Sand from the European Broadcasting Union - for short the EBU. Sietse will be with us throughout the entire show this week and is ready to answer also your questions you can send in via the website's CONTACT link and via the Livestream chatroom. But also Sietse will be co-hosting the show this week with a whole list of great entries to the Eurovision Song Contest which carry a story and also there are some detailed background information of the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. Make sure not to miss this special edition of Eurovision Radio International which this weeks lasts for four hours from 2000 - 2400 hours exceptionally.
Interview with Angun (France 2012): During the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012 which was held last weekend Angun presented the French entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 called "Echo - You and I". The native Indonesian and French citizen has a given the Team of Radio International a very nice interview you can also enjoy on this week's show. Winner Interview with Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012): On 04 February 2012 the Maltese broadcaster pbs presented to the viewers the 16 finalists that made it from the Semi Final from the day before into the Final which was staged in Malta's Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC) in Ta'Qali in the heart of Malta. The show was called "The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012" and the Maltese nation together with an international panel voted for the song "This is the night" performed by Kurt Calleja who will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku in Semi Final 2. The Team of Radio International made two interviews with Kurt. One before the contest which you will hear next week and the other one right after the Winner's Press Conference.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - "The National Finals so far" with Chris Poppe: Until the end of the National Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 (10 March 2012) the Radio International Eurovision specialists will be taking a weekly look at the
songs that have been selected for Baku so far. Chris will take a look at some highlights from National Finals and Semi Finals of Azerbaijan, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Lithuania, Malta, Norway and Sweden.
Euro Friends Song Contest 2012 with Andy Simon:
The next season of
the Euro Friends Song Contest is under way in search for the ultimate
Eurovision song
as voted for by the many fans around the world. Andy Simon joins us
every week to reveal the qualifiers for the next round. The website of

where you can easily vote for your favourite Eurovision song per
country and also see The Euro-Friends TV Show as hosted by Andy Simon.

As for the quiz answers, you have time until 2359 hours the Tuesday
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Our friends who pick Radio

weekly quiz.

the organisation that is organising " Eurovision Reunited" which
involves the participation of many huge Eurovision performers. The event
is scheduled on 11 April 2012 in the UK, at the Sage Gateshead. Many
