Radio International goes...
Radio International goes....was born in February 2008 in addition to our regular Radio International radio programme. Radio International goes is a more music based programme featuring Pop and Rock Music Programmes, Specials on events, Artist Profiles, Reviews of the 80s, 70s, 60s, Your Requests and interviews with performers at the Eurovision Song Contest. Also trips down Memory Lane or featuring the profiles of famous artists. Please CONTACT US if you wish to hear a certain format, artist or music and we will be glad to serve you.

Radio International goes Nicki French
ImageOn 17 July 2010 the Eurovision Club Germany (EC Germany) celebrated their 10th anniversary and held a special event on a lake in Essen, Germany with the special guest of honour Nicki French who in 2000 represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Don't play that song again" which unfortunately only became Number 16. But we also saw Nicki French reaching Number 5 in the UK Charts with her version of Bonnie Tyler's "Total eclipse of the heart". JP met the charming Nicki French for an interview before the festivities began. Listen to story of her career launch, her chart success with "Total eclipse of the heart", to her Eurovision participation to what the singer is doing now. And will she be returning to Eurovision ???

Radio International goes ... Melodifestivalen 2010 - Interviews with Interval Acts & more

ImageOn 13 March 2010 Stockholm's Globen Arena was the venue for the 2010 Melodifestivalen where the ten finalists competed for the ticket to represent Sweden at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo at the end of May. The Team of Radio International did many interviews with the contestants which you can listen to in last weeks show by clicking here. But also in the first two hours of this week's edition of Radio International you can hear two more interviews.

Melodifestivalen 2010's production team had a brilliant idea for an interval act which featured Eurovision entries from Norway versus Sweden. Eric Lehmann and JP had the chance to meet some of the artists at the Aftershow Party. Listen to interviews with Bobbysocks who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985 with "Let it swing"  for Norway (although partly Swedish) :), then Charmed who represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002 reaching Number 11 with  "My heart goes boom". Listen to the interview with Afrodite who represented Sweden at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest reaching Number  8 with "Never let it go". And finally in the show listen to the interview of the Salem Al Fakir who is the runner up of the 2010 Melodifestivalen with his song "Keep on walking".

Radio International goes to Malta's Eurosong 2010 (Part 1)
ImageTo continue with the many interviews we did with some Malta's biggest artists, composers and lyricists Radio International this week dedicates the entire third hour of the show to more of Malta's Eurosong entrants 2010. Listen to interviews with Paul Giordimain & Fleur Balzan who were responsible for the Number 14 entry by Eleanor Cassar "Choices" and the stunning Number 2 of Glen Vella "Just a little more love. Also there is an interview with Ryan Dale & Doll Duminka whose entry "One 4 you" reached Number 16. Then Emil Callaya Bayliss from www.escmalta.com was interviewed followed by Pamela Bezzina who closed the Malta Eurosong 2010 with the great "Hold on" which reached a respectable 4th in the competition. And last but not least - the first of two interviews with the well-known Schlagerboys from the UK - David & Andrew.

Radio International meets Chiara
ImageRadio International had the great pleasure to once more meet and interview the lovely Chiara from the sunny island of Malta. However, this time JP and Lilian Brunell met Chiara in Sweden where she was performing at a Christmas Show with a Eurovision flavour on 11 December 2009 in Eskilstuna.


What happened with Chiara after she returned from the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest from Moscow? How does her career continue? Will she come back to Eurovision for a fourth time?  ... are some of the questions we have been asking her. You find all out by tuning into the show.

This week Radio International talks to two guests and Eurovision Specialists on the programme: Mr. Ian Fowell and Mr. Geoff Harrisson who is the founder and pioneer of the very first Eurovision website. Radio International meets Richard Herrey
ImageThis week Radio International meets Richard Herrey who together with his brothers won as the Herreys the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest which was staged in Luxembourg. The winning song was "Diggi-Loo-Diggi-Ley".
ImageJP together Lilian Brunell went to Eskilstuna, Sweden where on 11 December 2009 was a Christmas Show staged with a Eurovision flavour. Radio International had the great pleasure to meet and interview one third of the former winner - Richard Herrey.
